For a premium phone they should always have card slot. So many people are using their phone for photos/movies, music. Not to mention the FM radio.

For other premium devices, sure. This is a Nexus and Google hates local storage, they want you buying cloud-based storage and services. I agree with you, it is nonsense but that is a corporate decision not a technical one.

False, MOST unlocked devices do not work on Sprint or Verizon - but the Nexus 6 (U.S. model) and iPhone 6 (or newer) are the exception. This particular device model supports all four major U.S. wireless providers (and their networks).
