Surface Tablets on Clearance at Staples for $99.50. In store only Extremely YMMV

Let's see how good SDrs are at finding Staples items without asking me for a search engine and a copy of the receipt. I picked up both at a discounted rate with no accessories missing.

So good luck in the hunt for them.

Why would you get the rt over 2? I know nothing about surfaces

RT is a very limited version of windows. For someone who doesn't use it for a ton of things outside maybe office and surfing the web it'd be great. Basically your bound to the windows store.

the 2 is Windows 8 or i guess now 10. So it'd be no different then a normal laptop.

If it's not the pro version yes. It would have to read Surface Pro 2 or more than likely it's a RT.

Pru always has good info on the Staples deals - you can bet his info is reliable. I'm not coming up with anything in my area on these two SKUs, though, unfortunately.

Side note: Just got a beautiful refurb from Groupon of a Surface 2 RT... I like it, got the keyboard for it separately (cheap), it's a nice little piece of equipment for doing some light stuff on the go (it came with office on it). Will eventually upgrade to a pro.

You sure? Staples deals are usually nation wide. Pru is spot on almost 100%. Did you have them scan them and see what they come up in the computer as? The signage is almost always wrong.

Where are the true treasure hunters who know how to bargain on the price? Come on people, find them and haggle. If you own a car you know how. Just transfer the same bargaining skills to a B&M environment. Find the stores who actually make clearance sections and fill them. Those are the stores who want to get rid of clearance items. Don't just buy one item, Buy some cheap stuff you have no use for and will simply trash or return to another store that you despise (returns are not charged back to the selling store).

Here was my entrance into the haggle: Pretzel Crisps are on clearance at Staples for $2. Went up to a gray shirt and told him I'll buy the entire quantity on hand for 50 cents each. We conversed for a few minutes and we settled on a $1. It was 15 bags. When he scanned my Rewards card he saw I was listed as a Platinum customer (yes there are higher levels than premier). He totalled it and I handed him my 15% coupon and he simply smiled. We completed the transaction with Apple Pay (Discover of course). Took them out to the car, came back a few minutes later and worked on the electronics. The rest was history as I walked out with the two tablets. In a couple of days I'll list what I paid for them.

FWIW: The Pretzel Crisps 7.2oz skus are:
431621 Everything
431623 Buffalo
434889 Original

Buffalo or Everything.. which is your preferred flavour? I wonder if I could use the angle that I'm a teacher... knock them down a few extra bucks or does that sob story not work?
