Great condition box and everything used for 2 months. I just don't play any games to keep it. Been trying to sell it for 280.00 but keep getting offers of 225 and lower. Which is funny because the trade in value is 250.00 credit

Is 280 too high you think?

I think a problem is that it's pretty close to black Friday and people are holding out for those deals and as you know Dell will have a brand new 500gb + extra 2nd controller + game for $299 so $280 for a used console system doesn't look very appealing. I think in the current environment pricing your unit for anything over $250 might be make things difficult.

Edit: one other thought is that if you're trying to sell it on cragislist, you'll definitely be low-balled. You'll have a much better chance of selling it at a respectable price on Ebay.

Yeah that is one of the reasons I want to get rid of it. If I did want another xbox one it makes sense to sell it now and rebuy on black friday. I prob will not be getting another one tho.

I might try 260.00 on CL but not sure if makes sense to go lower with a trade in value for 250.00

If I were you, I'd take the trade-in credit. I don't think you're going to be able to sell it for more than 250. Does it include Kinect or anything? If so, I might say otherwise, but if it's just the system and you're not including anything extra, then I think you're out of luck with your current asking price.

No extras. I really want cash so I am free to buy stuff for black friday and not be stuck with gamestop credit. I never buy anything there.

from what i see from my local CL, I think you should be able to sell it on CL for $240-$250...

I was actually trying to bring a CL guy down to 230 from 250 a few days ago but he ended up selling it at 250 to someone else. I personally would prefer to have $240 cash than $250 store credit especially if wouldn't shop from that store.

$280 is fair. Brand new they're $350, plus figure tax. A lot of pawn stores or small used game stores sell it for around $300. It will be hard to sell at $280 though. People are going to low ball you. When I sold mine a few months ago I sold it for $225. I wanted a PS4. $225 sounds right for craigslist if you are wanting to sell soon. If I were you I would take the $225. Black Friday coming with game bundles, it will be worth less then.

An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.
The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

Refurb from overstock with a warranty and a kinect is $280.
Refurb/used from anywhere else with a warranty is $300 or less.

$280 for a vanilla console off CL is a bit too much when you consider that.

They sell Amazon Kindle cards, which say right on them that they work for other stuff on Amazon besides Kindle e-books.

But FYI: Gamestop has a CASH option if you choose to go that route. Sadly it's 20% less than the trade credit amount. So you'd be getting $200 instead of $250 if you did it that way, OP. At least with games and I think accessories, you can use the Power Up Rewards card to reduce the amount lost to 10%. With consoles there is NO bonus unless it's a specific promo. Speaking of which, that $250 trade value is likely only valid if you're trading in a PS4 or XB1 towards ANOTHER XB1. At least that's what the ad on their site said. So YMMV on getting the full $250 in the first place.

If all else fails though you could do the credit trade-in and try getting one of the pre-paid Visa cards(if they have them). Then you can use the cash off that any way you want. Or I THINK you could transfer it to your bank account somehow. I forget how at the moment though.

He lives near me. A couple years ago, he bought five copies of a game on clearance at target closest to me. Bragged about it here then soon found out the trade value wasn't worth a 'flip'. When I called him on it for being a scumbag for buying out the stock, he PM'ed me and told me he would now purposely return them to a target far away from me so I can't get a copy for myself.
Whine more, please.
