Looking for a Well built i3 or i5 Laptop under 350

Exorcist 199 22 October 30, 2015 at 11:04 AM
Hi all,

I am looking for a laptop for my parents who primary intent is to use it only for checking emails, light Web surfing, youtube and probably looking at family pictures / albums stored in the hard disk.
I am myself a rMBP user, and love the quality build. I know a few hp elite books are well built and mainly are for business use and I can get them for under 300 posted ov various deal threads on SD, but they are b stock.
Dell has a few well built laptops with touch screen but not sure how they are. I am really confused with this.
Anyways hence asking you here. For under 350 whats a good laptop, well built, i3 or i5 it's ok. 500gb disk atleast 4gb ram. Webcam mandatory. Not sure if touchscreen is good. But if it is, Mom would be happy. Smilie

Thank you so much sir, this really helps. So one thing i do realize is that the newer the CPU the better it is, 5th gen is the way to go, and a full HD screen would be better.. right?

Sir what is your take on this? I am kind of tilting towards touch screen features as well. My dad and mom just fell in love wiht the concept at the FRY's store.

Agree with you, i just saw the asus i7 system at bestbuy the build quality is definately better than most of the laptops i saw out there, It has a metallic construction, and very soild power.
But they did not have that one in i3

Do they have something like this in i3? or can i get similar model cheaper else where?
