Thanks - bought 7D2. I took a rented one to Africa with me recently, and really appreciated just how well it coped with dust and and focusing / tracking demands. The only thing I didn't like is the color - it needed to be calibrated, or it was too dull. High ISO performance wasn't particularly great either, but using it for fast moving subjects was fantastic. It should complement my A7R, which I use for landscapes (using Canon glass).

Wow, sweet price on the 7dm2... Assuming you shot in raw, in LR you need to change color from Adobe to "Camera Standard" and the colors are quite good.. Here's a Red Tail from yesterday in foliage.. https://flic.kr/p/Azbhsv
I think it does pretty well up to ISO 6400 if you nail exposure and do some background NR. Here's a Cardinal and Falcon at ISO 4000

I used colorchecker passport to build a custom color profile using rented 200-400 lens - it worked great for daytime shots. I was lucky I did that before returning the lens and camera. ISO is definitely usable, just not up to par with 5d3, for example, which makes sense as this has 20mpx in apsc.

The last time I bought refurb from them it was only 90 day warranty. They must have changed it since.

Canon 6D is also priced at $999. Is this a decent deal or should I hold off until Christmas? I already have the 60D and want to go for a full frame.

The 7DM2 is an APS-C? How does this compare to the 5ti? I have a 5ti but I've updated my lenses to tamron and sigma etc. Is the 7 that much better?

I can't compare it to 5Ti, but 7DM2 has focusing / tracking engine from 1DX, and I can tell you it was just fun to use in Africa. I used it with both the 200-400 f4L (rented) and my own 70-200 f2.8L, and it was just good. However, I don't think it was better than Nikon D4 that others used - at least in focusing - though of course D4 is in a different league.

Concerning refurbs - I bought from Canon refurb shop before - never had an issue. You get a warranty and factory reconditioning. The only issue I guess is with the shutter - at 10 frames a second it will add up quickly, and I don't know if Canon replaces the shutter.
For reference, In Africa I shot 30,000 frames over 10 days.

I have bought 4 items refurbished from Canon, 2 cameras and 2 lenses. They all came with 1 year warranty, and appeared brand new. For all intents and purposes, I consider them new, since they have the same warranty as new items. I have had zero problems with any of the 4 items, over a 3 year period.
