The extension bars alone are nearly worth this. They are a real lifesaver.

This 5-pc. accessory set 3/8-in. drive lets you extend both the reach and versatility of your socket wrench with a variety of extension bars and adapters
The set includes 1.5-inch and 6-inch extension bars
A universal joint swivels for better access
A 3/8-inch to 1/4-inch adapter lets you use other sockets
Silver color finish
Made of alloy steel
Not for use with impact wrenches
The set weighs .55 pounds
Backed by Craftsman's forever guarantee

Not sure why the thumbs down. Decent price if you haven't already acquired those pieces over the years. I am not a fan of adapters but the extensions and swivel are useful.

How is this a good price for made in China tools? You've got to be kidding me. It almost seems like SD is getting sponsored by Sears these days with all these mediocre Craftsman deals that are popping up.

Lowes sells a Taiwan-made 19 piece socket set for $17.49 that includes a bunch of sockets, extension bar, universal joint, and a 72 tooth ratchet. In the Craftsman set you're literally paying $10 for a single extension and a few adapters.

Kudos on regurgitating the China line that you heard someone else say in every other Craftsman thread.

These deals keep popping up because people thumb them up and buy the product. Why wouldn't Sears keep it going?

And no, you are paying $10 for TWO extensions, a universal joint, and two adapters. Don't assume that because you find a piece in there useless that everyone else will also.

A 6" extension bar alone (probably the most useful piece), which your set is missing, is about $5 regularly. Sure this isn't an insanely good price, but if you are in the market, this is the cheapest (usually run ~$15) I have seen in a while.
