Cheap, but several reviews say that the yield is way below what is advertised. I think I'll pay extra and get the linkyo cartridges. You can say oh they cost twice as much! But they probably last twice as long, and it's only $10 for something I may have to replaced once every couple of years. Also don't have to deal with the rebate.

Admittedly, I've never bought a Linkyo toner. I don't print that much, but we've used our fax machine a ton lately which uses the same cartridge.

I hear nothing but good things about the Linkyo. But it's possible the quality has slipped a bit. I think they used to be like ~$20 a piece right?

Now I'm seeing deals at 2 for 18 shipped, which is less than half the price before. Either they're selling a ton of them and can do it based on quantity, or they cut back somewhere.

If you can't tell I used to buy Linkyo actually from their website. When they started to move all their promos to Amazon and I was pretty happy because I have and always had Prime. Well on day I started to having toner darkness issues around mid last year. A few months later they started to crazy discount their toner as you can see here http://urlhasbeenblocked/LINKYO-C...B007HQW8ZU Well in my world when your products starts sucking it and you start discounting your inventory bad stuff follows. That's when I started to search for an alternative toner. The rest is history that I care not to rant about because seriously to each their own. I rather fill out a MIR but get guaranteed quality stuff than deal with a company that in my opinion has some serious cutting corners issues.

I bought this a while back and very disappointed, I print a lot of shipping labels and this toner cartridge does not print and adhere well. As I peel the label the print comes off. It is the same on heavy stock. Rub your hand over it it starts coming off. I have to put clear tape over the address and bar code to keep it from flaking off to point the post office scanners can't read it.
Every now and then newest had brothers cartridge on sale, but since selling these they never seem to run any good sales.

The toner not adhering well has to do with the toner melting during the printing process and transferring to the paper. I'd seriously check your drum and how long you have had it because 9 out of 10 the drum is your culprit not the toner. To tell you the truth I usually use drums made by the same company as I'm sure they are designed to work together. Everyone has got to remember that this item is a two system thing so make sure you place the blame on the right item. From my experience only blame the toner when the print is melted right but it's light and unreadable like what I experienced when using Linkyo's stuff.

So to use a cheap toner cartridge I have to buy a new drum every time I switch brands, I'll put the blame on right thing the cartridge for not being correctly made for the laser printer.
I am putting the blame on right thing after all. A poor designed cartridge. I shouldn't be expected to figure out I need to buy a new drum for my printer.
The feel of the print is totally different, thick and plastic like. Not at all as it is with original and others I use.
To expect me to change drum and put blame on drum is ludicrous.

I never said use a "cheap" drum. In fact because the drum melts the toner you need to use a better drum. For my personal use at home I try to stay away from Brother's separate cartridge setup as I feel having a fresh drum every time is important. I use a color HP printer at home and the one system cartridge guarantees a fresh drum every time I replace s cartridge.
