Q/A*

Question:
I am on Your Plan 1, and my proposal was under 1,000 minutes, 1,000 SMS, 750 MB (+ Additional Bonus MB), can I move to the Leonardo Free Plan?

Answer:
Yes! In fact, we’ll switch you automatically. All members on the Your Plan 1 who haven’t been upgraded to Your Plan 2 will be moved to the Leonardo Free Plan.

Question:
If I am on Your Plan 1, and my proposal was greater than 1,000 minutes, 1,000 SMS, 750 MB (+ Additional Bonus MB), can I move to the Leonardo Free Plan?

Answer:
Not at this time. As we stated in the rules for Your Plan, you will be switched as soon as RingPlus offers a plan that would match your proposal.

Question:
If I am switched from Your Plan 1, will I need to pay the $15 auto top-up?

Answer:
No. The $15 Top Up will only be charged when your account Top-Up balance has reached $0.

I am waiting for the phone that I purchased on ebay to arrive before I can even sign up.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

question: can i sign up and buy phone later? You can sign up using the ESN number of any Sprint-compatible phone that's been fully paid off and released from financial commitments - whether it works or not, and whether you have it in your possession or not. Note that if you fail to use the phone to a minimum standard (currently one call completed per 60 days) or your balance fails to meet minimum requirements (for this program, $15 AFTER all charges and expenses), they can (and may) suspend or eliminate your service. You can check whether the ESN number you have will work for this purpose at https://my.ringplus.net/device_va...quests/new

The bonus data allotment (above the base 750MB) is now: BONUS ADDITIONAL MB for the Leonardo Plan:
Current Status: 260 Bonus MB

Wait, so why am I not on the your plan with 1500 Mb? My dashboard says I'm only on the 500 Mb plan. I signed up day 1 noon and I bid 2 GB fo $15 and $5 tethering .

Shouldn't they have moved me to 1500 Mb for $5?

It looks like it. This was in the original post:

" This is part of a third-party research project and signup will require you to complete a survey during sign up located at https://store.ringplus.net2."

I looked at the survey and it seems pretty harmless. It's about online purchasing behavior. The interesting thing is that one question is "Do you intend to spend more, less, or equal for this holiday season on gifts?" It's one of the standard questions to measure general consumer sentiment.

The other questions are demographic questions which may indicate that there are multiple third parties on this research project. It's encouraging that ringplus keeps getting these research gigs. But we should be careful not to take the thread off-topic. The question is, "is it a Slickdeal or not?" Not where ringplus gets the money to subsidize the free plans. We know that FreedomPop offers free plans, and their subsidy is overages and sign up fees. Ringplus is overages and third party sponsors.

So basically they have the same model.

It should be since they require you to do a survey + post stuff on your social media site.

My dilemma is I don't want to jump on a deal that might disqualify me from a better one in the near future! I currently have a Phase6 line for 1000/1000/1GB

Are they going to rob me again with their BS fees? They charged me $1.60 cents in fees for a $5 top up.

I saw where they will give us a link later on if you want to switch. Luckily the automatic switch only happens when you hit all the categories within the maximum free allowed.

I personally wouldn't want them to auto upgrade me from Your Plan to a paid Your Plan 2 because I was really only interested in getting 2500 MB of data. And I would still have to buy add ons. So I prefer to wait until this allotment hits for free and I won't have to buy add ons.

As for now, I use this account on my cheap flip phone (gave it to my brother). And when my Your Plan bid allotment becomes available, I will port in from T-mobile.

Again, my two cents, this thread is about the new Leonardo offer so I don't want to get off topic.

How is that robbing you? It's called tax, surely you've heard of that.

First there were $5 top ups. Then $10. Now $15. In what way is this not a pyramid scheme?
