Amazon has the Philips 100W Equivalent daylight bulbs for a really good price. The camels say this is a good deal. Thought someone might benefit from this as well.

I have made it my personal responsibility to track led bulb prices and to alert you when the prices reach $2. No need for you to thread crap any further as I will notify you.

Home Depot has had them for awhile but they are still expensive. HD has this for the same price. For the soft white version of this, HD has the 4-pack for $26.97 (plus tax of course).

Can anyone compare the reliability of these 100w equivalent Philips to the 1st Gen 100w equivalent Cree bulbs (the ones with the heat sync)?

I have replaced 2 of 6 Cree 100w equiv bulbs in the last 6 months after they burn out (free replacement thankfully).

Did Cree make you send the bad bulbs back?

Cree bulbs (especially the 100w ones) were really unreliable for me as well. Even had one that melted the hot glue holding the glass globe on. Switched brands (using GE smart bulbs currently, but tried several others) and haven't had a failure since.

So, in my experience, anything is better than the Cree bulbs.

Please be aware that these are "daylight" That means bright white and will not match your soft white LED bulbs or incandescents.

daylight isn't really pure white color (vary by companies), still has yellow tint to it.

Daylight would be good for a kitchen correct? I have a 4 light bulb fixture in my kitchen and I definitely need more light.

I hadn't been able to find 100W equivalent LED bulbs for under $15 each! They were $20 at my home depot. Thanks!
