looking for NAS storage

pryan67 1,010 225 November 8, 2015 at 11:50 AM
So, my drive I use for media streaming (3 TB) went belly up with no warning...annoying, but not a disaster.

I'm looking to replace it with a NAS, so the PC doesn't have to be on while watching movies, etc

Cost IS an issue..

Any suggestions?

Hey,
I don't know what your budget is but there's a whole range of NAS systems you can get, everything from diskless, relatively slow systems(running Intel Celeron processors), but very budget friendly systems like this one from NewEgg [newegg.com] to something blazingly fast: spotting 8-core Intel atom processors and upto 16TB of storage like the systems made by these guys [ixsystems.com]. Depending on your budget, you can get something to fit.

Regards.

Thanks...

I ended up getting 2 WD My Cloud 3 TB drives at Sam's Club today for 94.71 each....can't beat the price, and it doubles my storage
