Couldn't find this when I searched, but let me know if this is a repost!
Groupon is running a promotion for a $10 Starbucks eGift card for $5.

YMMV, seems like it is invite only.

Hey Groupon, you possibly are breaking a bunch of FTC trade rules and most certainly some States rules when you are giving out discounts based on arbitrary (non public) guidelines. I am surprised these invitation only promotions have lasted as long as they have. Its a class action waiting to happen.

Publish your selection guidelines or declare them in your 10k/10q filings with your SEC filings. If a corner flower shop were to pull the same shit (selective discounts) their license would be revoked. One more reason why B&M stores are unfairly treated. Is it any wonder mom and pop B&Ms are packing up and closing leaving behind ghost mall strips. Its because of pebble shit like this.

To be fair, doesn't eBay do the same thing with invite only eBay Bucks promos?

Its not just Groupon, its almost all of the 'digital' companies that have these offers. ebay is the worst offender.

Not if you add them to your online starbucks account. No expiration date then.
