Favorable (mostly 3.5 - 5-star) reviews on Amazon and Home Depot. Most complaints seem to be about the blades bogging down in heavy, wet snow. Reviewers seem to be from New England and Great Lake states ... take that FWIW. Should be ok for the typical snow amounts we get here in St. Louis. Thanks, OP!

Does Amazon price match to Woot? I'd rather purchase through Amazon for ease of dealing with CS.

I bought this blower last year and really like it. I'm in Central IL, so we don't usually have a lot of wet/heavy snow. If you're typical snow fall is less than 4-5" and not overly wet, than this is a handy little blower.

Sorry... really don't know what your snow is like.

If it's normally under 5" and pretty light, than yes, I think it would work alright for you.

If it's typically wet/heavy and more than 5", than no. Better to look at a gas blower.

Edit: one other thing to keep in mind: this requires a 14 gauge outdoor rated extension cord. If you're thinking of using this on a long sidewalk, keep in mind that you'll be dragging a cord behind you and that you'll need a long enough extension.

THanks. I missed out on the 299.99 deal from amazon and lowes. Didn't have the funds this is cheaper though.

Woot is part of the Amazon empire. I doubt they PM since WOOT is closeouts/limited quantity items.

I bought the $299 battery one from Lowe's and I think I am going to return it (or flip it on craigs). I do not trust the battery or the machine after reading the reviews online more in depth. This one looks to be more trusted by it's users and should be just fine for my intended use.

It is only $5 more on Amazon. I would just buy it there. $5 is easily worth prime shipping and easy returns.
