Is this a decent desktop for $600 ??

That is not enough system for $600. You'd be better off going to Dell or even a gamer who's been taking care of his stuff and buying nothing but top end the last few years.

You can try Dell Home Outlet (1 year warranty) or Dell Business Outlet (3 year warranty).

Check there for a coupon.

The computer stock changes all the time, the coupons change weekly.

I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. So, I think that going with that laptop would be a good idea, and not something that is cheaper. I mean most people spend around that much money, so it does seem like it would be a good laptop to get.
