can't open links from the new app

RandomSDNeo 934 225 November 11, 2015 at 04:15 PM
i recently updated my app to newest one (which i hate) and strangely certain links don't work. for example, the current amazon deal "Ideal 100-Trick Spectacular Magic Show Suitcase" works from app but the crazy8 deal does not work! when i click on crazy8 link, it's taking me to below link and just stopping there(chrome).

another strange thing is the crazy8 works fine in my s5 but the issue is with s4! both are using new app. any help?

Do either of you happen to have an ad blocker app installed on your device? This can sometimes cause issues with our external links. If that is not the issue we will investigate further; please let me know!

Yes I do. I just turned it off and it worked... I wonder why its blocking that. Is there a way to fix it without having to turn off the content blocker?

We're looking into specifically which ad blockers also work with the Slickdeals app. The only current solution is to turn off the ad blocker; we should have recommendations for you shortly as we diagnose further.

Ok. In case you were wondering, I was using the Freedom ad blocker that's free.

This is also happening to me with Purify adblocker, despite having Slickdeals whitelisted.

So I've learned a workaround for the time being... When you click a link and it redirects you to the error page, you can hold the refresh button on safari and click reload without content blockers and it'll take you to the correct page. It's better than having to disable the ad blocker completely. Just thought I would share.
