very nice price. I have never bought a suit because of sizing off the rack but am thinking about getting one for the first time.

My issue is that i have found in store that 52 long fits shoulders and sleeve length well but the belly area is a balloon and the pants at made huge that go with that size suit.

anyone have any experience with Men's warehouse in store and there ability to tailor something?

I need a 52long int shoulder and sleeve but a 38" in waist which makes it very difficult to find an off rack jacket or suit to fit.

or am I just destines to be stuck paying for a much higher price custom tailored suit?

The typical drop (gap between shoulders and waist) for an off the rack suit is about 6-7", meaning the standard size w/ a 52 jacket would be 44" pants. Looks like you're outta luck, but you can always buy separates.

You will probably spend more than the suit on alterations..

If you can find matching separates that are close in size to what you need, do it. The thrifty rule for suits is buy cheap, tailor expensive.
