How to get a close up pic of something stuck on the tree?

jkloisdafoiwdaf 3,872 625 November 12, 2015 at 10:25 AM
I had a quadcopter crashed into a tree and it no longer responded to the controller. Discover purchase protection wants proof of damage but the mini quadcopter is barely identifiable in the picture I took because it's at least 10ft off ground. Is there a solution to this? I don't really want to risk another quad to take pic of the fallen oneshake headshake head

Zoom lens? Surely you know someone with a digital camera?

Ladder or a rope to climb up there. Hit it with a rock. Start video capture and throw a phone near it and hope you get one frame of the copter. Take something important that belongs to a friend and throw it up there and force him to solve both of your problems. Slap a set of binoculars in front of your camera.

Solutions are endless here. I am more bothered that a 10 ft height has stumped you.

Get a quad copter to get up there and get a good shot....ok bad joke....
Why would they warrant something you broke on your own negligence?

Filing purchase protection for a flying toy that got stuck in a tree by your own account seems kind of sketchy. That would be like filing protection for the bike that got stolen because it was left outside a busy store unlocked.

Like others has said the solution here is to get it down with a ladder and broom handle, or by throwing something larger and heavier to knock it out (Basketball?). If you don't have a ladder, ask a neighbor, family member, or coworker or your parents for some help. 10ft should be pretty easy to do even 25ft, 75-100ft is a different story.

Not sure why I got an alert for this...

But anyways, grab a kid and put him on your sholders, let him take the pic.
Then give him a dollar.

Not sure offering a kid money to sit on your shoulders is the best idea.

So you want the kid to work for free?
Good time to teach him about objectivism.
