Always love when a good comic book deal is posted, TU & Repped!

The bad part is that they are mostly previews. To continue any of the series would require a purchase.

Yeah, but at least you don't have to pay for the first issue and find out that it's horrible.

I've read and enjoyed volume 1 of:
Lazarus (dystopian future kinda thing, rival factions controlling parts of the US, series title is related to a key story piece)
Saga (sci-fi/fantasy setting, great artwork, star-crossed lovers from rival factions theme)
Rat Queens (humorous fantasy, more great artwork, female adventuring group doing adventurey things)
The Fuse (sci-fi murder mystery set in a large orbiting power station a century or so in the future)

Was less impressed with:
Alex + Ada (I've read web comics with better art, story was moderately interesting, androids are part of society, some of them are being freed from their subservient programming)
Stray Bullets (serviceable black & white artwork, retro story set in late 70s/early 80s, various story vignettes that sometimes tie into each other)

I read the first 100 or so issues of Walking Dead as well, but that one really doesn't need any discussion.

Very true.

Usually before I start a series I check out the first 5-10 pages using Amazon's "Look Inside" or going to a local bookstore or comic shop. Also, the Comixology and dark horse android apps have preview modes and tons of free previews too.

I've had Lazarus on my watch list for awhile but not 100% what it's about or if I'll like it. Looking forward to checking out #1 for free here!
