This monitor is 1440p, 60Hz, and IPS screen for $200. Does not have a VESA mount. This is the lowest price I've seen so far. For $200, it's not bad so I just impulse bought it.

EDIT:

I'll thumbs up this. Seems a solid deal for a 1440 IPS panel. I wish I could find some detail on color gamut. Acer as a brand does not entice me and their website looks unprofessional. I'm hunting down a monitor currently, seem to like the better Dell monitors as i've had good luck with them. This deal is tempting. Comparing this deal to Dell P2416D now.

Someone posted these specs for the Acer monitor when he compared it to the Dell monitor.

4ms and 100million to 1 contrast ratio and brightness 350 cd/m2

Likely to sell out? I need to replace the Monoprice monitor I'm returning, was going to wait for Black Friday but this would give me a replacement now which would save some stress. It's a bit smaller, though also a bit cheaper. If I do get it, it's going to involve some funds juggling (since PayPal really does not make it easy to split between two payment sources and there's only ~$126 on my Serve card, ~$115 in my bank account).

No VESA really kills this. What a ridiculously cheap, basic feature to omit. What's next? Get rid of the power button?

Here's a link [gladiatorjoe.com]to an aftermarket adapter for $20+ ship. Amazing that for $0.50 or less, Acer could have just included the screw holes from the getgo.

I saw that but im not sure how real world those contrast numbers are, I also find the 4MS response time to be quite odd for an IPS panel in this price range. I have seen some reviews of this monitor question whether it truly is an IPS panel...I don't know if there's any truth there. Also very little actual documentation on Acer's website

I think i'll give the Acer a shot. I don't want to deal with a Dell gift card and most of the Acer reviews seem good enough.

Nice - if I'd seen this a week ago, I wouldn't be looking at my 24" Dell right now. I watched prices on similar monitors for a few months, and this is a great deal!

And the owners manual which does at least indicate an SRGB mode

I'm pretty sure the panel is AH-IPS. It's a GREAT monitor for gaming with virtually no input lag, given the price point. I bought one at $250 this past summer.
There are some QA issues with it though, dead pixels, screen flashes..

With the 27" QNIX 1440p monitors hitting $200 within the last 2 weeks at Newegg (and coming with a Vesa mount, 2 extra inches of screen real estate, and the opportunity to overclocked to 96-120Hz), I don't find this that good of a deal..

I have got one as well today, we'll see how good is this. I don't like overly huge monitors and I am not sold on huge 2560x1080 wide monitors. I need that extra vetical space a lot for work.
I have had a good luck with Acer before.

I was hesitant to buy Acer, no way i'd buy QNIX. I know off brands sometimes have good products but in general I avoid them. Also I don't care about overclocking or VESA and prefer pixel density to screen size. Just my reasons.
