Best BF router deal

I am interested on opinions of the best BF deal on WiFi AC routers in terms of value. Budget is $100 to $150 and will not be used for gaming. I would like to stream media content both wired and wirelessly and finding something more "future proof" would also be a bonus.

I am looking for a new router also. The best deal I have seen in the netgear nighthawk ac1900 is $150 on black friday at walmart. My isp sells these at $200. many reviewers refer to it as the flagship of reliability. Now for the caveats. More money doesn't mean better performance. On newegg this item gets 3 stars out of 5.
There are frequent complaints about the ac frequency performance. If you have problems with a netgear post your complaint for the product at amazon.
Here are the warranties:
netgear 1 year. 90 day phone support with initial purchase. You can email them forever but you have to pay for more phone support after 90 days (40-$80) for a year. I don't like that.

tp-link 2 years warranty. Telephone support forever.

asus has 1 year warranty with forever support but it appears not very responsive. They have so many features. Read the reviews reliabilitiy issues.

If you can buy something with a walk in warranty (90 day) like costco if it doesn't perform that is something to think about. I think costco had a netgear ac1750 for $100. Then you can see if it works. If you are not a member you can have a member friend buy you a costco gift card and then you are good to go. they give money back in the 90 day period.

I personally like to buy something behind the best performance so I can get the best value.
Quality control on consumer routers seems to be hit and miss. Have a spare for when it dies because it will. I just bought a tenda ac1750 and turned it in after a month when it died.

I am going to buy a tp-link ac1750 (unless the ac1900 goes below $100). because it has been around. Last year amazon had it on sale for $56 lately the best price was $75 on sale.
My $.02. Of anything I have ever bought these things are the most squirrely appliances. Good luck. Since most routers get hot get a laptop cooler. I gutted an old computer power supply with a ball bearing fan to cool my router. It throws a lot of air.
