The Gamefly hits keep on coming.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Batman Arkham Knight are both on sale for $24.99+FS. Lowest used price on these recent AAA titles and remember that Gamefly used games come with all inserts and unredeemed DLC.

I have never purchased Gamefly's used games before, do they come in their original cases and cover or generic case? thought "insert" might be in reference to the booklet(s)

I would personally wait for BF for new version for $25 for Witcher 3 and Batman AK. All Target, BB, and Walmart have $25 for Witcher 3 and Batman AK.

I've always gotten original cases and all unused codes.

Yes, since these are rental copies, Gamefly keeps the original case and booklets/inserts and only ships the discs out to its rental customers. Once they sell a copy, they take the pristine original case and inserts and send them to you. This is why any DLC codes included on a printed slip in the game is always unredeemed.

Now you can see why Gamefly is such a favorite of SDers, no? bounce

Does Witcher have an "easy" plot to follow? Never been a big fan of giant open worlds where you just walk around and do random stuff. I have a short attention span so like direction in games...

The Witcher 'might' not be for you then. While I find the action and exploration to be done very well, I am a good 20 hours in and still have no idea what's going on.

Yes you do not need to play the other games. This is a fantastic RPG with a huge world. If you have played fallout 4 that is tiny in comparison to the witcher 3.

Yeah, it does. There is tons of stuff to do outside of the main plot, though. I'm maybe 100 hours in and still finding new quests and areas. But if you want to stick to the main plot, it's a rather straight-forward affair.

Though the "contracts" where you have to go kill monsters for money are one of the highlights of the game. I'd say the main story only makes up about a third of the game.

Plot-wise, the majority of the main story is just following the trails of some main characters. Typically, you arrive in an area, find out they've been there, then get involved in helping the person who knows where that person went next. After helping said person, they point you to your next stop where you do the same. Eventually it breaks this trend and by that point you should have a good grip on who's who and what's going on.

I'm like that and I didn't like it. It's an amazing game if you aren't like us, but while the story is easy enough to follow, you gave to do a ton of side quests in between to be of sufficient level to continue with the story. Not because it won't let you, but because you'll die otherwise. The side quests are so much better than WoW type rpg quests, with real mini stories. But not enough to hold my attention compared to the main story line. I traded it in around level 7 (out of 35?).

if you're going to and have GCU, I'd wait. it'll be another 20% off on BF. Plus another 22% off with Apple Pay if you have that. For a new copy to boot.
