I see only the new T-Mobile Simple Choice plans are eligible. I was going to say, I'd like to see Sprint beat my grandfathered plan, or my relative's retention plan - $25/mo for unlimited talk and text and $10 for 3GB of data = $35/mo. Half that would be slick!

According to their fine print: "T-Mobile plan: Discount offer limited to T-Mobile's advertised Simple Choice rate plan prices as of 11/16/15 for 2GB, 6GB and 10GB for non-discounted handsets only"

Then as seen on Tmobile's site currently:
$50/month Unlim Talk/Text 2GB high speed data (So $25/month if matched by Sprint for this promo)
$65/month Unlim Talk/Text 6GB high speed data (So $32.50/month if matched by Sprint for this promo)
$80/month Unlim Talk/Text 10GB high speed data (So $40/month if matched by Sprint for this promo)

At least that is what I think is going on here.

What does "Savings until 2018" mean? Does that mean your rates go up in 2018?

For the old promo, you could keep your rate forever unless you got a contract phone.

don't think this is slick. with all upfront fees and all, you will end up paying more it seems if you bring ur device over!

Sprint in general is not a good idea. No matter how cheap it is. I'm paying $50/mo for unlimited data and it's horrendous. I'm in Downtown Chicago where speeds are supposed to be good.

Sprint sucks, thats why I left them for T-Mobile. Had been with Sprint for over 10 years and I just had enough of their horrible coverage. La Puente, CA

Per the fine print below:

"Plans exclude unlimited music and video streaming, data carryover, tethering and cloud options that other carrier plans may offer. Data: High-speed data is access to 3G/4G data speeds."

I'm already getting unlimited music, data carryover, and tethering through T-Mobile (at no add'l charge) and will soon be getting certain video services unlimited. Not a huge deal, but what's with the 3G/4G disclosure? Is LTE excluded, or is it part of 4G?

I got a Sprint phone from Samsung Ultimate Test program. Their LTE plus network was amazing in my area.

What's funny is I see people all the time claiming Sprint has "a far superior network than it did".

Just tonight my family (all have sprint... I have a 2 line T-Mobile plan). Were getting 3G in a upper median city... with 2-3 bars. I had Band 12 T-Mobile 5 bars. I pulled in 15-20mbps speed while my brother had under 1mb download speed and couldn't update his sports app. You couldn't pay me to go back.

I did the same thing a few years ago. Had been with Sprint over 10 years but they took away by grandfathered plan. So made the switch to T-Mobile and now have a killer grandfathered plan with them. Unlimited talk/text/true unlimited 4G LTE data for $55 a month minus 15% corporate discount. With taxes and fees I'm at $52. Can't beat that for unlimited! Smilie

Right now my plan is 12.5GB split between 5 lines so $125 after all permanent discounts, taxes and fees. Could they really halve my costs? The answer to that is a resounding no. Per their terms the best deal you can get is: 6 lines on Sprint for $60 a month plus taxes and fees.

However there is going to be a large initial cost of $216 and you probably won't be eligible for that $15-20 corporate discount anymore. So you might save up to $30 a month but that will be how much you will lose out on in terms of extra features and service quality compared to other carriers.
