Tmobile for a month?

I am heading to France for a 3 weeks. I just care about having Internet on my phone (since i use Google voice for texting) and to use Google maps.

I am wondering if i can take advantage of tmobile's unlimited roaming by opening an account for a month, head to France and cancel within the month that I return. I think I can do this, but I am unsure. I figure this would be cheaper than getting a local sim. I am wondering if anyone have any insight on this?

You can- but it's $50 and you'll be stuck with slow speeds.

Much better would be to find a FREE (company name) vending machine- there's tons all over France... and for 30 euros you can buy a prepaid SIM from them that gives you unlimited talk and text, plus 50 GB of data for a month (assuming it's a modern LTE phone).

It's cheaper, gives you voice/text in case you want to make a restaurant reservation or something, and you get much faster data speeds too.

I would buy a WiFi hotspot(like portable ones) in France and use WiFi calling and data from it
