Cricket Wireless is having their Better Than A Black Friday deal of $100 gift card when you bring a line to them. Up to 5 lines again! Although, not quite as slick as last holidays when their site was hammered and people moved 5 lines to them from TMobile, wound up with hundreds in credits, etc. (ahh, good memories!). But still, it is a good deal for those of us who can use it! Go for the gusto and move five lines guys. Why not? Enjoy!

I brought five lines this time last year and got $500 in credits. And you know what, I stayed with Cricket and now my kids have phones. So it turned out slick for me and for them! I know that others merged the lines and only kept one number and the hundreds of dollars in credits. Those folks are likely still rolling Cricket for free. But for me, the 5 line family plan is a great price and I love their network. Remember, Cricket is all AT&T without the evil. IMHO

It is a VISA prepaid card, but there is NO VISA LOGO printed on.

Q: Does this work for completely new accounts porting in their number from other carriers?
A: Duh!!!!, it does.

T-Mobile to Cricket Port Procedure
After you get the T-Mobile SIM kit just activate it online -- it goes step by step so not much you can screw up unless you enter wrong info
Write down your new number at the end -- you can close the browser when you get to the last activation page and it asks you to fund the account
Wait half hour or an hour and then place your online Cricket order -- submit TMo port info when checking out
TMo account number is 1 + phone number (1xxxyyyzzzz)
Account PIN is what selected during TMo activation

That deal was slicker: no form...you got the credit automatically after 25 days. This is still good though.

Oh yes man. It was epic! Go back and read the thread on that one! We were opening TMobile numbers just to bring them to Cricket and net the proceeds. People ended up with hundreds to use. Mine lasted 5 months for 5 lines. It was SLICK. But hey, this is still a good deal!

Cricket is AT&T. That's why it won't allow it. It is their prepaid brand. What you should do is port your number to TMObile through their online service and then port it in from there to Cricket. I did that last year and it worked fine. I called TMobile and had the rep make it happen faster too. Then, the next day, I just used Cricket to port from TMobile. I was out a phone for about 4 hours which wasn't bad to make $100.

There is an old thread from this same time last year that has many details on how to do that part.
