Still online only? Mediocre reviews? Yes.

I'm waiting for the price to drop to $20 by December 25.

you're still going to have to buy the DLC for another $50...

screw EA's predatory customer fleecing practices... do not buy a partial game for $50+

EA hyped up this game so much. People pls stop buying multiplayer only games, this is a ripoff. Half a game pay full price. Go check metacritic users rating lots of 0's and 1's.
Imagine this game in single player story with this graphic it will be 200% better but EA decided to cutback on their budget and spent it on multiplayer only instead. Ripoff!!!

My son plays single player story on a game called Assassin's Creed series, but other than that, single player story has been mostly a waste of development resources. Most people I know who game don't care much about it. I'm not a big gamer, but do play a lot of split screen Black Ops II zombie/bus ride matches, with friends in other locations joining via split screen. (So basically myself and son in one location, and then two friends in another.)

For the most part I am fine with developers allocating design resources to multi-player versions. It has always seemed to me a ripoff that so much of game design was geared towards one person playing a story campaign that we never got any use out of.

What ticks me off to no end, is the end of local multi-player. The industry seems driving gamers to sit by themselves in the house playing remotely with others which is lame. Probably they are doing this for financial reasons, because it means more console/game sales if you make every individual have to buy a console/game to play video games.

About a year back there was a Q and A with a developer from dice working on BF4. One of the questions was why they were wasting time on single player. He answered that single player accounts for a big portion of the purchases.

IMO the only reason there was no single player in battlefront was because of time constraints to meet the release of force awakens

This game has been tons of fun so far. Feels like im a part of StarWars while playing walker assault.
In a single match you can operate an AT-AT walker, be a sith lord, pilot a tie fighter, and be a ground soldier. If a rebel, you can be a jedi, or an x-wing or a-wing pilot, bring down the AT-AT using the tow cable on a t47 speeder...
I do wish it was more like the first 2 battlefront games but its still fun.

I honestly don't want a single player, I'd rather them focus on the multiplayer and make that better. So... don't tell me what to do.

I suck at multi-player, so I have little desire to buy this. If it had a single-player campaign with multi-player options, I would be all over this. At best, I'll rent it or borrow it for a weekend.
