Deer Hunting Gun

abbygayle 1,378 625 November 20, 2015 at 08:19 AM
I am going to try to pick up deer hunting next week. I am a total newbie and am just looking for an entry level gun. The only thing I really see on slickdeals is concealed carry gun deals or handguns. I'm interested in suggestions for a good deal (maybe black friday deals coming up?) on something I could hunt a deer with. Thanks!

u are way ahead of yourself. Do NOT buy a gun and then go "try to pick up" deer hunting.
you have way to much to learn prior.
Go to you states game and fish resource page like this one for Arizona:
https://azgfdportal.az.gov/Education/Hunting
take some classes.

Check Slickguns instead. But you gotta have a budget first. Rifle, scope (as important as rifle), ammo, general hunting gear depending on your area, and whatever wildlife license fees you might face. I like to recommend the Tikka T3 rifles in 308 or 243 if $600 is your rifle cost budget, but it's not for every budget.

Ok good then, that is much more clear information than "I am going to try to pick up deer hunting next week. I am a total newbie and am just looking for an entry level gun".
That said, Bass Pro has a huge selection, go in an speak with the gun counter guys/gals, they can at least give you some direction, and may know someone with something for sale.
(or sportsmans warehouse, even dicks sporting goods)
Any gun shop will be more than willing to help you, and may in fact "know someone" with a weapon for sale.
