I generally find that cheap cashmere is just.....cheap. I haven't bought from Jos A Bank, but in several other experiences with cheap cashmere, it's just been crappy quality - which is fine if you just want a forty dollar sweater, but disappointing if you're looking for really soft cashmere.

Still enjoying moviepass Parachute wave

Agreed.

Jos A Bank is certainly no Saks 5th Ave or Barneys..But it does that job for getting me all the clothes i need for work for the least cost...just hard to gage their sale prices because they mark up the prices so much and then discount them at 70% off regularly...but hoping their BF doorbusters are better than the norm

No on Moviepass, unfortunately. Dropped them like a bad habit when they started instituting more and more limits and increased my price substantially. I miss going to the theater 4x per week, but after a while, I started to understand why people who love movies get really board with big Hollywood films. Dropping MoviePass allowed me to enjoy crappy movies again :-).

As for cashmere, my better half really likes the sweaters at LLBean. They are typically much more expensive than these $40 sweaters (and the ones sold my Neiman Marcus Last Call, Bloomies, etc.), but are more value-priced than Saks (and with a better guarantee). Of course, I get annoyed when people say, "This laptop is $200, but you can get one that is twice as good for $400!". I know it's obvious that you can spend more and get something better....but in the case of cashmere, I feel like this cheap stuff is misleading in that it doesn't feel much different then any other sweater, it just has a name to make it feel "fancy".

That's not to knock Jos A Bank in general -- I know their deals are popular around here and a lot of their clothes are probably fine. I just know I got sick of returning cashmere sweaters last holiday season that I knew wouldn't make my wife happy, so I figured I'd save someone the trouble. I'm sure they aren't bad as long as your expectation isn't that it's a $XXX sweater.

Did anyone notice this is 96% cotton and a pitiful 4% cashmere? Misleading at best.

(And btw, the "Joseph" line is cut way tighter than their classic stuff, just in case you're gonna get them anyhow.)

Agreed. The OP should have not mislead. The link is perfectly clear about the content

Pure rubbish quality.

Most of the cashmere you get in these cheap deals is just that, cheap and bad low quality. Here it is only 10% cashmere. And cotton. Really? You want me to be warm in cotton? Always look at the guage of Cashmere or wool for that matter. These stores and most others in US will keep low quality very lightweight quality. Yes I know, cashmere is supposed to be light. However it has to be WARM+LIGHT. Not just light.
