I haven't purchased any CDs by Metallica since they were the fight of the face against napster and digital distribution. And I doubt they have changed.

Not a bad price. I bought Master of Puppets for $5, at Wal-Mart, yesterday.

Looks like the prices at Wal-Mart online are higher than in the store, though.

I was hoping to find Kill 'em All, cheap too, but no luck.

I have never bought music at Walmart since they censored it back in the '90s. Is that still their thing?

I suspect controlling interests in the record label (Megaforce Records) still likes to gouge and yet make no money from lack of Kill 'Em All sales.

That outdated industry is still in the dark ages. I have very old records, cassettes, cd's which are out of print/production. I've contacted the labels. The labels get resold to obscure and large names. None of them respond to inquiries. So many amazing songs and disbanded groups which will forever lay in darkness.

I do not buy streaming mp3's. Only cd's. Burn my own in in lots of various sized kbps and types. Started seven years ago. It's very very very time consuming. Tried paying nieces and nephews. Too boring for them even for cash. Burning to SSD's faster?

Always got to me too. Metallica wouldn't be where they are without all the bootlegs that were passed around.

God forbid a band puts up a fight against people obtaining their music illegally without paying.

The amount of bootlegs that were passed around can't possibly compare to the amount of times their albums have been illegally downloaded. Physical bootlegs passed around? Maybe in the millions. Illegally downloaded? That's number is so high is might as well be infinite.

Pretty good price. Haven't purchased a CD in years, though.. not sure if I should invest. I guess I could just rip the album

Funny.....I became a Metallica fan during the Napster era after previously never being exposed to their music as we didn't have any stations playing that kind of music where I grew up. Their attitude at the time about Napster really turned me off as well - and so they lost my business as someone who would have gladly bought concert tickets to see them if not for their whiny fight against digital music.

There's great music on these albums - but Metallica's inability to ride out the initial wild west attitude of digital music downloads while the market sorted out how to handle the demand makes me uninclined to support them even to this day.

It's not that they disagreed with piracy that soured people on them - it was their tone.
