As part of their Black Friday sale Newegg has the Acer XG270HU Monitor plus 2 cables for $299.99

This was front page at $450 this summer

This is one of their live Black Friday deals listed on their Black Friday sale pages - It's a combo so price is different for just the monitor. Really good price for a 2560 x 1440 1ms gaming monitor.

First post - trying to give back to community that's saved me tons of money! Monitor is $420 with 4.5 stars on Amazon

Don't forget Amex or Visa deals to get an additional $25 off or $37.50 off if you combine with gift card bought on same deal

Edit: It seems that Visa Checkout has problems with the fact that it's a bundle with a discount - I used Amex and Gift cards bought on Amex and had no problem.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Funny .. My wife, my son, family and I have been using only Acer displays for the last several years (and even have the 34" curve now!) and not one issue, probably 12 different displays among us over that time. I think you might be in the minority here, Bonecrusher. But, you're welcome to your opinion, even if it is unfounded. (Don't crush my bones, please.)

You should have added that it is FreeSync and 144hz capable in your title. Really good deal for anyone looking for those two things.

I really doubt you will see anything better than this on BF if you are looking for these specs.

Great deal if you have AMD video card but Acer make crappy monitor IMO.

This looks really good... but TN panel is a bit of a turn off for me.

Does anyone know how many notable 27" 1440p IPS G-Sync/Free-Sync choices are out there? What are they?

Is this monitor still worth it if I'm not gonna use FreeSync since I'm using Nvidia?

And is this guaranteed no dead pixels and can it be returned if there is?

I was going to list some options, but then I found this review [pcper.com] that contains a handy list:
  • ASUS PG278Q 27in TN 1440P 144Hz G-Sync
  • Acer XB270H 27in TN 1080P 144Hz G-Sync
  • Acer XB280HK 28in TN 4K 60Hz G-Sync
  • Acer XB270HU 27in IPS 1440P 144Hz G-Sync
  • LG 34UM67 34in IPS 25x18 21:9 48-75Hz FreeSync
  • BenQ XL2730Z 27in TN 1440P 40-144Hz FreeSync
  • Acer XG270HU 27in TN 1440P 40-144Hz FreeSync
  • ASUS MG279Q 27in IPS 1440P 144Hz FreeSync(35-90Hz)

So, looks like the Acer XB270HU and the ASUS MG279Q if you want IPS.

Incidentally, I keep reading things to the effect that some of these newer TN panels actually look really nice, with great view angles and color. I have an IPS. Next time I'm at Frys, I'll have to look for some to compare.

Thanks. Holy hell, $700 for a G-Sync one. If I use Nvidia (GTX 970), do I have to stick with G-Sync over Free-Sync?
