Hi I'll be returning an Xbox one bundle to Best Buy that came with digital codes for tomb raider games in the box. Before I knew I'd be returning the Xbox I entered the codes. Will the used codes cause any issues to get the full purchase price of the bundle refunded? I tried asking over the phone, but customer service didn't seem to know and said the store would handle it. I bought the same bundle way cheaper at Microsoft online tonight . I thought it was probably best to buy the same bundle in case they gave me a hard time I'd have unopened/unused codes from the new bundle. I'm worried though somehow the used codes could get voided upon return? I don't know how the codes are attached with Xbox one, like via the Xbox account or via the actual Specific Xbox it was downloaded on. Anyone know the policies for this all and suggestions how to not get screwed. Thank you.

codes get tied to both the account and the actual box.

i doubt they will test to make sure the code is valid when you return it. best bet is to just go in and find out or call again and hope for someone more knowledgeable.

I worked at BB for over 5 years. This scenario shouldn't be a problem.
