Wepowershop.com (formerly Joinem.com) has 30% off everything in the store when using code TAKE30

If you create an account before your first purchase you'll also earn 5 WePower bucks.

They have the Mid-2015 Apple iMac 27" with 5K Retina Display, 3.3Ghz Core i5, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD for $1583.99 - 30% off coupon - $5 WePower bucks = $1103.80

If anyone is curious about the legitimacy of Wepowershop / Joinem - here is an article about them in Fortune magazine (about one of their investors and former Priceline CEO) - http://fortune.com/2014/11/17/joi...eline-ceo/

So this definitely is not a scam website. However - the way it works is they try to combine multiple purchases together and go directly to the manufacturer to get a better price and offer those savings to you. So I guess if they don't get enough orders there is a chance the order might get cancelled and it might take awhile for them to get enough orders.

Seems like a pretty good deal to me - assuming enough people buy it to be able to get it for this price.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

just an fyi....wepowershop.com is a site that was created october 14, 2015.

please use discretion.

In addition to the above comment, the domain of wepowershop was registered on that date, but they site has been around for months, known as Joinem.com. Tons of orders through that site, so I don't think the new name should be too much of an alarm.

Interesting, so it's like a group buy?

Also note this model has a HDD instead of SSD.

Relatively new and they ended up giving away a ton of stuff a week back via a $50 off $50+ coupon, nabbed myself the Logitech G602 for $1.90 after the coupon and they ended up cancelling the charge a few days later, just got the mouse yesterday and opened it a few minutes ago and it feels so damn good Big Grin

Only thing I know is that the former Priceline CEO is an investor in the site Joinem.com which apparently has now been renamed wepowershop.com (If you go to Joinem.com it re-directs to wepowershop.com) - and if you do a search on joinem.com you can find multiple articles about them. I linked on in my OP from Fortune magazine - Here is another one from Dallasnews - http://www.dallasnews.com/busines...illion.ece

So I think they are legitimate, but because of the way they do buying (they need a certain number of orders before they can get the price they advertise from the manufacturer) there is a chance the order gets cancelled or takes awhile to ship if they don't get enough orders.

This is so tempting... I have a 2009 27" that needs to go, as it is a power hog. I have it in the cart, though not sure about pulling the trigger.

It looks to be new, as they say it is from the manufacturer and also states 1-year in the specs for warranty. If it is new, Apple should honor the warranty.

It is brand new, so I would expect it to come with a 1 year warranty. AFAIK, Apple doesn't do the "Apple Authorized" dealer warranty game. If it has a valid serial number the warranty will be good. I've brought my Mac into the Apple store before without any proof of purchase, just the device itself and they fixed it under warranty (they check warranty validity based on the serial #).

For those wondering how challenging it is to upgrade it to an SSD, not easy...

You could also do an external USB3 or Thunderbolt SSD and use the 1TB drive for storage (pictures, documents, etc).

Trying for 1 with this deal. I figure if this somehow miraculously goes through, I can sell the wife's old iMac and upgrade her setup for very little overall. We'll see...
