* This product is currently out of stock.

message from a moderator and DO NOT REMOVE IT!

just an fyi....wepowershop.com is a site that was created october 14, 2015.
please use discretion.

serra

In addition to the above comment, the domain of wepowershop was registered on that date, but they site has been around for months, known as Joinem.com. Tons of orders through that site, so I don't think the new name should be too much of an alarm.

On a side note, scam sites don't run out of stock. The whole point is to get the money and run.

The 55" model is out of stock and the TAKE30 code for 30% off is invalid. It has been replaced with TAKE10 for 10% off.

Credit card charges posting under JoinEm -- it's the LLC company behind this website, details in post below.
Order now, expect cancellations Whistling

Signing up for WePowerBucks = $5 credit.
According to the site, opting in for newsletter [mandrillapp.com] = extra $5 credit [just opt out under account settings, after login]

Isn't this that "questionable" site from earlier?

I took the plunge. Great price, and the company is definitely a legitimate company with a board of directors and funding.

I'm not without concerns, but it seems highly unlikely that this is a "scam" site. Will the order go through and not get cancelled? Who knows. Do they have an okay return policy? No idea. At this price, though, since I view this site as legit, it was worth the few questions I still have.

Where are these guys located?
I'll take the plunge if I can get a tax free deal. (I live in Ca).
What I'm going to do with a second 4k tv, is anyones guess.
On that note, should I return the 49" LG 4k for this? Which has better Q? or are they pretty much the same?

If anyone is curious about the legitimacy of Wepowershop / Joinem - here is an article about them in Fortune magazine (about one of their investors and former Priceline CEO) - http://fortune.com/2014/11/17/joi...eline-ceo/

So this definitely is not a scam website. However - the way it works is they try to combine multiple purchases together and go directly to the manufacturer to get a better price and offer those savings to you. So I guess if they don't get enough orders there is a chance the order might get cancelled and it might take awhile for them to get enough orders.

Seems like a pretty good deal to me - assuming enough people buy it to be able to get it for this price.

they charge tax if you're in TX

here's stuff I found from the other thread...

**********
The website is owned by JoinEm LLC [wepowershop.com] [check DBA at bottom of the page] --- http://www.zoominfo.com/c/Joinem-LLC/355886071

Here's some background on the company via https://www.crunchbase.com/organi...em#/entity
* $5M Series A on March 10, 2015
Founders: Darren Waxman, Uluc Aydin, Richard Smullen
Contact: info@joinem.com | (855) 564-6361

Company appears legitimate.

Seems they're key betting big on the WePowerBucks program

Privacy policy [wepowershop.com] seems typical, just Do Not log in with Facebook.
