the haswell processors are fine, the 6th gen i5 processor is only 10% faster for single threaded purposes and 20% faster for multithread, with similar power consumption. so there is no reason to seek out a 6th gen i5.

please link a similar laptop with touchscreen, 1080p, 1tb hd, 8gb ram, i5, but also has more ram, ips, or gpu, for $400 or less. bet you can't find one.

there are also plenty of people who dont give a shit about more ram, ips, or gpu. this laptop is perfect for them if they want touch as well.

Actually this is falsely reporting it is OOS. As of right now I am able to add to my cart and purchase, despite the fact I do see the 'out of stock' message.

No disrespect to the OP, as the sharing and communication by members is what makes this site work, but this laptop is honestly 2.5 year old trash at this point. Nobody should be buying a Haswell-based laptop in 2015 unless it is like sub $200. And you definitely shouldn't be buying a Haswell-based laptop if you highly value battery life and/or want to do gaming.

Unfortunately, just because the retailer tells you it's a BF deal doesn't mean it's a DEAL, guys. =/
