Could you elaborate? What coupon? I see some stores have them available but I can't add it to the cart for pickup either.

Enter your email address in the above link. They're then suppose to send you a promo code. Signed up a couple days ago, but still waiting on my promo code. Edit: Actually just got my promo code in the email inbox.

Thanks. I had to dig through multiple frys emails to locate it.

Not sure if it is worth the trek to frys but good deal.

Good deal considering I purchased 2 of them for ~$120 a piece from Best Buy about a week ago.
Not sure if I want to make a black friday trip to Fry's and attempt to look for it for $30..

I picked one of these up in store earlier today. They had a pallet of them.

These have a 2 year warranty but I assume that if you open the case to remove the drive that your warranty drops to zero. No warranty on a new drive? Not a good idea.

I picked one up at Phoenix store around noon, they still have more than 10 sitting at the bottom shelf.

i heard that this one has a security chip or whatever, even if you remove the board and put it in your computer, windows still wouldn't recognize this, according to another thread.
thats why i ended up buying 4BT one from tigerdirect for 95

I bought 4 for my nas setup. 2 of them are slim packaging with black 5b sticker[Blue drive, WD50EZRZ inside] and 2 of them are big fat packaging with green 5tb sticker[green drive, WD50EZRX inside].

Can anyone comment on which one should i use in NAS setup?
I know, there is a way to change firmware of green drives to red firmware. Is that possible with Blue drives as well??

Where did you read this? I had a plan to remove one of these from the casing to put in my PC.

It does recognize the drive, you just need to reformatted. I just open one and plug into my computer and confirm it.
