Thread Details

Looking to try upgrading my cable and came across these deals, not sure if new or not. Each of the channels (cinemax, showtime, and HBO) has a $25 rebate for 3 months of service for new users. For cinemax, all you have to do is send in proof of 3 months of service by 9/30/08. Must be added by 6/30/08. Link to cinemax below.

link works for me... just go to movie websites and each has their own, very easy to find. Click Get HBO now or etc.

Is this really only for new users? It seems like even if you've been getting these services for awhile, you could just fill the rebate out and send in 3 bills, and you'd get the $25. Or is there something I'm missing?

The Cinemax rebate states 3 months service after April 1st so yeah, looks like you should be able to get it even if you're a current subscriber.

On the other hand I found no rebates for HBO anywhere.

3. Get your Rebate Form: Complete the entry fields below and select the Print button.
(Writing your name, address, and phone number on a 3" x 5" card also qualifies as a Rebate Form.)

*Monthly cable TV and equipment fees are additional. Any introductory premium service subscription offers are good only for the time specified; thereafter, standard monthly premium service fees apply. Limited cable required to receive optional services featured. Offer does not apply to premium services already subscribed to by customer. Offer may apply to standard installation/connection on one TV set in wired serviceable areas; other installation/connection or relocation fees may apply to additional TV sets. Offer may vary and other restrictions may apply. All services are not available in all areas.

I have Time Warner with HBO already (free for 3 months) and additional premium channels are $5. For Showtime it will be $15 for 3 months. So I am making $10 on this deal.

Since you have to keep it for 3 months minimum, you can watch Weeds, The Tudors and Dexter for 3 months for free (or make money, depending on what service you have)...

I called this morning. They gave me Showtime free for a YEAR!!! I don't know if I can still get the rebate or not, but since they linked my thread to this one I'll call for Cinemax next...has anyone found the HBO link? I'll go see if I can find it. After my first 3 free months I'd love to get $25 back for the next 3, making it $20 for 6 months of HBO.

I am on a roll right now...I just called again and added Cinemax. Since it's my 3rd channel, it's even less so with the $25 card it will make it free for 3 months. Can't beat my Showtime for a year free (and they are possibly paying me with the $25 promo), though...
