Bought this one a week ago for $159.
Now, the price is even lower and i think better alternative than the home depot's one, which is FP.
Has a lightSmilie

Thanks OP, bought one. This one seems to have a much more substantial light on it than the Home Depot one.

Thanks! I bought when it was $159.99 4 days ago. Amazon Chat just gave me back $10 since "the item is directly coming from Amazon and it's still on the 7 days calendar"

Looks like Amazon matched the Overstock.com BF price:

No, it doesn't! First, this is the previous model and design while Home Depot has the latest model. Second, Discover allows for an additional 10% from 149 price for the FP deal.

you're an idiot..

1) Nobody uses Discover. Chase Freedom offers 10% CB on amazon purchases
2) Amazon 2 day shipping > HD 8 day shipping
3) Newer model/older model - do you even know what's new about it?
4) model on amazon is 15 A as opposed to the HD one which is 14.5. Last time I checked, more power is better

Black one is $136 right now but it's Prime only.

Edit- I also see it's a 13.5 amp instead of 15 now too.

*Eats popcorn*

Holding my trigger finger until someone can assist with which is better vs. the home depot deal Smilie
I live in VA so we're not too hammered but it'd save my dad a lot of work on those rare days.

Logically, SJ623E sounds newer than SJ619E since the number is higher.. but that's about all I got.
Read the home depot thread and no one responded with which is better. Someone help! Thanks!

obviously the amazon deal is better just by virtue of the fact that it's higher power . For me it's especially good since chase freeedom is offering 10% CB

Need a little more detail there than previous versus latest model. This isn't a computer. Wink Looks new enough that none of the reviewers appear to have used it in snow yet. Also looks like the auger has "rubber blades" on the new one? The older 623E posted here is rated to throw slightly more snow per minute.

This older model was also pretty consistently above $200 on Amazon per camel until this month, and this is the lowest it's ever been. The new one is at $150 right away. Did HD get that good of a deal for BF, or did it cost lest to make? We'll know the answers to these questions soon enough, but for now I like this deal better.

Some of us are also getting 10% back on Amazon with Chase.

Picked one up, thanks OP!

Edit: Tried to add links to the Snow Joe website but they were blocked.

Biggest differences I saw were the different auger designs, 14.5 vs 15 amp, which also equated to the 623 moving slightly more snow, and a halogen light on this vs. led on the new model.

I am willing to bet there are more discover users than chase fredom

SJ623E Vs. SJ619E

- SJ623E: Has a 20 W halogen front-facing light (not on the 619, it has a small poorly positioned LED)
- SJ623E: Higher power (15-amp vs 14.5-amp for the 619)
- SJ623E: Higher snow per minute (720 lbs vs 650 lbs for the 619)
- SJ623E: Cuts deeper (10" Vs. 8" for the 619)
- SJ623E: Intake is higher (10" Vs. 8" for the 619)
- SJ623E: Throws snow further ( 25 ft vs. 20 ft for the 619)

TL;DR: The SJ623E wins. The SJ619E's only perks are that it weighs less (which is arguably bad in a snowblower) and that it has bigger tires (although SJ623E has wider tires, so that might balance that perk).

PS - And this is more opinion than fact, but open up a picture of both models (619 [imgur.com], 623 [imgur.com]). The layout of the controls is simply superior on the 623E. The adjustment knob isn't very easily reachable on the 619 (lower), and it uses one of those annoying over-sized fail safe handles from lawnmowers (smaller on the 623), plus it uses unreliable lock-catches for the height adjustment (as opposed to highly reliable pins), the light looks like an afterthought (and will move around with the handle), and it has foam padding on the handlebar it will grind against your hands like sandpaper as it moves around (boring metal bar is actually superior in this case, trust me, you'll want to wear gloves with a 619).

Jet.com is the same price as Amazon. So if you can find a Jet coupon you may be able to save a few more bucks. I ordered this from Jet 2 weeks ago for $130 after coupon. It has not snowed yet, so I haven't tested it out.
