I picked up 3 Moto E (2 Bills) from Kildeer IL. Even though the phone is shown as 69.99 there rep was able to check it out for 9.99 + taxes. YMMV.

Unlocked phone for cricket, an Att mvno. Looses LTE connection if you make or receive a call. Phone stuck in HSPDA+ until you put it in airplane mode. Any way to fix this. Maybe Apn needs updating? Is noticeably slower getting 10mbs down on LTE, 1mbs on HSPDA.

Looks like someone found FIX for not redoing settings everytime you change sims
.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/s...tcount=739

Obviously can't use TIBU to disable apps because we don't have root... HOWEVER, I found that the debloater.exe works wonders for disabling apps (disable com.motorola.setupwizard.xxxxx to get rid of SIM NOT FROM VERIZON warning)

UPDATE!!!

DISABLED vzwAPNpermissions.apk & vzwAPNservice.apk and was able to change sims without having to redo the settings in ADB!!

Also, the phone automatically found my APN settings on different SIM cards after doing this!!

5.1 Updated Instructions:
With the SIM you want to use the the phone :
1. Put the phone into Airplane mode (I'm not sure this is needed, but it doesn't hurt)
2. Go to Settings -> About Phone and tap on "Build Number" until it says you are in Developer Mode (~10 times)
3. Go back one menu, and right above About Phone there should now be an option for Developer Options, go into that.
4. Turn on USB Debugging
5. Connect the phone to your computer and type "adb shell" in your CMD window
6. Run the following commands in adb shell :
pm clear com.android.providers.telephony

settings put global preferred_network_mode 9

settings put global preferred_network_mode1 9

settings put global preferred_network_mode2 9

7. Turn off Airplane mode

8. Power off and Restart the phone

9. Open up the settings app, go to the mobile networks panel, select "Prefered Network Mode" and change it to "4G"

10. Input the appropriate APNs for your specific carrier

11. (Optional). Disable all Verizon apps through settings or Titanium Backup.

Here is link and fixed steps for android 5.1 TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK. I have activated 3 phones on TMO using my SIM and below steps but don't take responsibility if thing go wrong.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/m...k-t3098953 .

Fixed Step 6 "pm clear com.android. providers.telephony" there is space between . and providers, remove it and it will work.

if your want to activate on TMO/ATT/VZW postpaid or mvno,Remove VZW SIM which came with the phone before turning it on for 1st time postpaid VZW and MVNO should work out of the box if u insert right sim the 1st time as per the other post in the thread.

For TMO and ATT follow below steps with active TMO or ATT sim or other TMO or ATT MVNO.

1. Put the phone into Airplane mode (I'm not sure this is needed, but it doesn't hurt)
2. Go to Settings -> About Phone and tap on "Build Number" until it says you are in Developer Mode (~10 times)
3. Go back one menu, and right above About Phone there should now be an option for Developer Options, go into that.
4. Turn on USB Debugging
5. Connect the phone to your computer and type "adb shell" in your CMD window
6. Run the following commands in adb shell :
pm clear com.android.providers.telephony

settings put global preferred_network_mode 9

settings put global preferred_network_mode1 9

settings put global preferred_network_mode2 9

7. Turn off Airplane mode

8. Power off and Restart the phone

9. Open up the settings app, go to the mobile networks panel, select "Preffered Network Mode" and change it to "4G"

10. Input the appropriate APNs for your specific carrier

11. (Optional). Disable all Verizon apps through settings or Titanium Backup.

Hello, I've been trying to get this done but it won't show me the "4G" option under preferred network mode. If you can fix it, please let me know, thanks!

I did these steps twice and it worked for me. 1st time it didn't work. I will suggest try couple times.

Command "pm clear com.android.providers.telephony" should return success.

Pageplus mvno is verizon MVNO. Looks like you will need to use the phone on verizon first before you can use on pageplus. Above setting is to activate GSM global modes.

Verizon folks should be able to advise you if this can be used on their MVNO or pageplus folks.
