For the first time, Sharp offers a 4K UHD TV in 43” (42.5”diagonal), 50” (49.6” diagonal), 55” (54.6” diagonal) and 65” (64.5” diagonal) Class screen sizes, for a 4K UHD TV to fit every need. Picture optimizing technology—like Revelation™ Upscaler, displays all content to near 4K Ultra HD quality, to give you an amazing picture, no matter what you’re watching. Thanks for posting. Looks to be a much nicer alternative to tomorrow's Wal-Mart LG deal. Just grabbed one.

Me too! I grabbed it before I posted it. LOL. I have a 70 240hzs aquos in our main living room and love it. 4K will be fantastic in our other living room. Good bye to my 10 year old 65" mitsubishi light bulb tv. It was great in its day.

Yeah, this looks worlds better than that budget 65" 4k Vizio or LG.

Looks like it cannot be wall mounted... and the stand is on the sides instead of the center.

Edit: it CAN be mounted.

I found this review helpful, this TV looked almost too good to be true until I heard some real-life testimonials. It's still a great TV, but it too has it's occasional flaws.

Quote: "I know some people got this tv for $799.99 like I did on prime day but I am referring to the msrp of the tv which is $1300, and that asking price is just downright disgusting for this striped down tv, for that price there are literally over 50 other 4k smart tv’s you could buy. For the sale price I got this for I can put up with it as a 55” 4k tv with minimal smart features and striped down software but please do not pay the $950 or over asked for this tv, there are so much more choices out there for that price. This tv has been out for 4 months now and hasn’t delivered on any promises it has made on the software side while its more expensive counterparts have them all"

I am going ask a stupid question ... is 60hz acceptable in a 4K tv? I see all these deals posted and people are buying and most are 60hz tv's. I wouldn't take a 60hz on a 1080p so I am wondering if I am missing something with the 4Ks.

Per the manual, it's VESA compliant and therefore wall mountable.

Of course everyone has a different pinch point, but other reviews online suggest that the 65" version is a completely different beast. It has, for instance, local dimming whereas the rest of the lineup does not.

If you're not buying the TV for its smart apps this seems like a no-brainer to me.

Excellent review. Thanks for posting it. I can't believe the remote needs to be pointed directly at the TV... My 5 year old insignia plasma (albeit it is a samsung panel) remote can be pointed anywhere... It's as thought the damn thing has RF built into it.

Do you realize you are citing a reviewers bitch about the value of a 55 in TV, in a thread about a 65" model ?

Yes, ty. I was looking at the wrong line in the spec sheet.
