Just FYI the per pound cost of K-Cups is about $35/LB.
Keep in mind that is glorified instant coffee quality, you know, the crumbs and left overs, packed in kcups.

Premium coffee runs about $20/lb.

Typical Starbucks on sale is $6.67/lb.
(when they have 12oz. bags on sale for $5 each, quite often.)

Folgers is about $3.15/lbs.
(his 30.5oz. containers run $5.99)

Unroasted coffee wholesale is about $1.50/lb or much less if you buy in tons.

If the text above doesn't make sense, here is an easier write up: if you fill up your own reuseable kcup, the difference for a family of 4 drinking coffee daily is like winning a free BMW in lottery.

K-Cups have no place on slickdeals.

If the Teavana crew is in charge, it will let you buy it and then charge your card the full price. You will then have to get on the phone with them to fight for your money back.

***Edit - Only works on select items in their Cyber monday deal section.***

I dont disagree over the value of using bagged in the k cups, its convincing the wife, who says it tastes different.. This is good on most things, i doubt it will work on gift cards..

I combined the groupons i bought from a couple of weeks ago...

Of course, 1 lb coffees are $14.95, so need a filler for 4 lbs - typical!

While it seems like you have really thought about this, the convenience outweighs the cost. Some aren't buying coffee just for their household, some are buying for offices or establishments that a pot of brewed coffee doesn't work, or reusable is not am option.

hmmm, they say Subscribe for 5% off. I wonder if it works like Amazon and we can cancel at anytime, like right after the order ships?

Somewhat OT but anyone have an idea how I can use my saved gift card to checkout on the website? I got in on all the Groupon and other SD deals for Sbux credit, but consolidated it all to a card whose PIN was lost.

So weirdly I can flash my phone at the store and buy coffee just fine, but can't use the same saved card to checkout online. It prompts me for the PIN.

Where do I find this $5/12oz bag Starbucks($0.42/oz)? I'd love to stock up at that price, but I have rarely ever seen it that cheap(certainly not 'quite often')... I added a SlickDeals alert here for 'Starbucks' here at different times, so maybe it's not posted here? Please advise where I should be watching for these sales.

Thanks.

Typically my local Ralphs (Kroger) and Vons (Safeway) have it on sale, 3x12oz bags for $15.

Also Staples sometimes has buy one get one 50%, typically $9.99 on sale for 16Oz. That makes it a little more expensive at $7.50/lb.

Still a FAR CRY from $35 FRIGGIN bucks a pound.
