Monoprice has the Tivo Bolt (4K capable, 4 tuners) for 15% off with coupon code BFWKD.

500GB - http://www.monoprice.com/product?...1&format=2
1TB - http://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=14674

Both include 1 year of service and then $149 thereafter. You can also get the AllIn plan when you activate for $599.

The Roamios will be getting most of the features as well but this is a good deal if interested in the Bolt since you will save on tax in most places plus the 15%.

YES [rosswalker.co.uk] Go to that link to see how and what works best for size. It looks like as simple as doing it with the roamio.

Yes. There are some screws that need to be removed with a Torx 10 screw driver but then it should auto format up to a 3TB drive. You can also use a DVR Expander via the eSATA port if you like as well. Keep in mind that while you don't open the case, it will marry the internal and the external drive together and if one fails, you have lose recordings.

So best deal w/o voiding warranty is to go with the 500GB option and add a quality eSATA drive?

How about the AllIn plan. Does that last for my life, does it transfer to future upgrades, or what's the deal there?

Lastly, if I'm primarily interested in this just for OTA, is this overkill?

Thanks in advance!! :-)

I currently have the bolt. I like it much better than the Roamio. It's quicker and the auto commerical skip feature is a breath of fresh air. Romaio Pro people will say it only records 4 shows at a time. Ask yourself this..... how many times can you honestly tell yourself you've needed to record 6 shows at the same time? Get the bolt over the roamio. At this price, it's a no brainer.
