Is this phone better than the Nexus 5X 32 GB model? I am trying to find the best phone for the best price during Cyber Monday. Was kinda hoping for a GS6 for like $350.

I've been using both and I prefer the GS6 to the N5X. Positives and negatives to both, but overall I'd rather have the S6 at this time.

Read reviews on gsmarena or similar sites for more insight.

Lowest you're likely to see a new, boxed GS6 on/around cyber Monday is probably $450ish give or take tax for the base model.

Good luck.

Thanks for the info. Do you happen to know anything else within the 5" market with a fingerprint scanner, NFC, band 12, wifi calling for T-Mobile?

Without question if I were you I would buy the Nexus 5X which is around $299. It has the same ultra pixel camera the Nexus 6P has with a fingerprint scanner and NFC. It also has band 12. Do not worry about it only having a 1080 instead of a quad HD display. You will not notice the difference unless it is right next to another quad HD display and even then it is hard to tell. With less pixels and marshmallow update it will have a better battery life than the GS6.

16GB isn't enough for me. If I were to buy a Nexus 5X it would be 32GB. So the extra touch wiz features with multi window, IR blaster, etc not worth the extra $?

I wouldn't recommend this deal for people planning to take lots of pics/vid as this is only 32gb and you can't add external storage. I have the 128gb and almost 1/2 is filled with pics/vids.

The S6 does not have an IR blaster. Some people like touch wiz and some do not. I had a Note for a long time and used a launcher to get around it and did not use multi window as much as I thought it would. Both of these phones are unlocked so they do not have the bloatware to slow them down. The S6 is a the better looking phone and the screen is wonderful with a fantastic camera. Yet I personally do not think the battery was made big enough. It just comes down to do you think you would use the extra software features on the S6 to make it worth the extra money. Both phones are great and you can not go wrong with either one.

depends on your preferences. i value a front physical home button, so the Galaxy S phones have an advantage for me.
