Best Buy has the Hauppauge Digital USB TV Tuner for Xbox One on sale for $49.99. Shipping is free.

This is the first time I have seen it on sale. It is normally $59.99.

This will allow you to watch over-the-air TV on your Xbox One including the ability to pause live TV. You can also stream live TV to any Windows 10 device from your Xbox One.

An update is coming to the Xbox One in January which will bring full DVR support if you have this tuner.

For the right person, this is a great product. I highly recommend it for fellow cord cutters.

I can finally pause live TV. Great for sports when the baby left your sight or nature calls. No more waiting for a commercial break. Even better with the kinect because I can just say "xbox pause" while on my way out of the room.

I programmed the settings to turn on and off the TV AND soundbar depending on the state of my xbox as well as defaulting to the TV when powered on. It makes powering up the controller seem so much more powerful.

I could download a TV guide app on my phone but im lazy. Having everything in one place is the bee's knees. And the guide and channel changing is snappy. I can even say "xbox, watch CBS" and it will change the channel (kinect needed again). You can even use your phone or tablet via the smartglass app to change channels.

"xbox, volume up/ down" changes the volume on my sony sound bar which is connected to my TV via optical cable out. I can't figure out why that works. It's only mildly good because it adjusts slightly so I find my myself saying xbox volume up several times in a row which starts to look crazy. And also when it's too loud, the kinect can't hear you anyway. Good for slight adjustments. It would be great if I could say "xbox, volume loud/quiet" and have it go to a preset volume.

I can watch TV from my iPad by using Xbox smartglass to turn on my xbox remotely and watching TV remotely right on my iPad. I have one TV in the house by design and this allows me to cheat a little lol. I can now watch TV while doing the dishes. Only downside is that it simply mirrors what's on my TV. But again, that's all I need.

I can snap TV while playing a game. Great for playing a casual game while watching the game.

I can use the headphones attached to my controller to listen to TV. Great for those with people trying to sleep.

I even say for some odd reason it picks up channels better. I couldn't get ABC without adjusting my antenna a little and then adjusting it back to get the other channels. It was really annoying. No adjusting with this thing. I don't even know why that is!

My only two cons is that there is a very slightly longer delay in real time viewing. I'm talking half a second difference so it's not even a factor to me. And there is also very slight noticeable pauses in the reception. It's something that after 2 weeks, I don't even notice anymore to be honest.

I also don't remember if I could have it give me reminders for shows. I need to look into that especially since the OS upgrade. I just haven't had time in the last few weeks for gaming or TV.

All that and because its usb, that still allows you to run something through the HDMI port. I have yet to do that but I see the HDMI option in the guide.

I think it's great for someone like me. 36, kids, high tech but not heavy on TV programming or multiple TV's. This is a happy medium to make OTA that much more exciting. I'm actually watching more PBS because I have the guide right there for me and i'm not just flipping through channels. The xbox really feels like that central hub with this option for cable cutters of course. Worth the $60 to me and $50 even more so. DVR possibly coming next year is the icing on the deal. Who needs cable? lol

I got this for $57 (no tax, free fast shipping) a couple weeks ago (antonline via ebay), and it works very well. using my attic antenna, the TV would receive 33 channels or so - with an amplifier 42), this gets 40 channels without the amplifier and 42 with the amplifier. at $50, best buy ends up being $54 with tax. not too slick" but this is a good tuner for the Xbox one.

currently, you can pause tv for 30 minutes but can't look forward and schedule a recording. next year, Microsoft says DVR functionality will be available. I cut the cord a month ago and couldn't be happier!

This is the first time I've seen this on sale...combine this next year with the DVR option and you have a nice cord cutter setup. It will also save on bandwidth if you have a 300gb cap in your area.

Yes, according to Amazon questions & answers:

http://www.amazon.com/forum/-/Tx7...B00XF7Z5DM

Although for a PC, you have a lot more (and cheaper) options for compatible USB TV tuners. So, I wouldn't recommend this for PC use unless you really wanted this brand name for some reason, or you are considering replacing your media center PC with an Xbox One at some point.

Why get tied to your XBOX...? This TV tuner works much better/faster, you can record in HD on a USB stick and it's highly rated:

You can usually find it for about $26, free S/H and no tax.

AND best of all it has HDMIwoot

You will be able to in January with the Xbox One update that brings DVR functionality.

I believe you can because it is basically a re-branded hvr-955q. However, it does not come with the CD, remote and extra cables the hvr-955q comes with.

I just noticed the HVR-955q is also on sale for $49.99 at Amazon. This is a super sweet deal. If I hadn't already bought the Xbox One version I would get this.

I am glad you like using your Mediasonic TV tuner. I have one and don't like it at all. In my experience the USB tuner listed here is much faster and changes channels more reliably. Plus you can stream to an Windows 10 PC, and when the DVR update comes out you can use any Windows 10 PC to set and watch your recordings as well.

Does the Xbone require special tuners or will any USB PC tuner work?
