IGNORE THIS. SEARCHED LIKE A GOOD SD'ER BUT MISTYPED THE SEARCH TERMS. FIGURING OUT HOW TO DELETE IT.

Didn't see this posted and waited a couple hours but no one else shared...

This 16 volt Dustbuster is rather more powerful than the 7.2 volt models often posted here, and this has the faster-charging lithium batteries.

It's $39 bucks, the lowest ever according to the Hump'd Oracle. And... it's also subject to the current CC promos.

I ordered it this morning with ten bucks off using Discover, fwiw. I had this model for two years before an unfortunate fall from a great height, and it's amazeballs. Suction is great, reusable filter cone is great, washable aftermarket filter is disgusting but great. Attached brush is an unfunny joke. Recharging is quick and it's good for chasing after toddlers as they shriek and shed Cheerios.

Seriously? $40 for a hand vac? You can buy a full size shop vacuum and extension cord for the same money. I'm not thread crapping, just wondering how this is cost-justified?

here come the comments... ;-)

OK! I capitulate- sorry for getting all you riled up. I guess I'm getting to be a tightwad in my old age.

Convenience. Aside from not wanting a full size shop vac in my kitchen, this item is cordless, small(ish), works well, the li-ion battery puts this in a different league than the old 80s crap ones, and is perfect for the little crumbs that show up here and there. I have had mine for over a year and use it nearly every day.

Scenario. Want to clean up some dust bunnies on the stairs, behind a couple doors and behind the TV.

A: Break out the 25 gallon shop vac. Plug it in, hold it while moving up the stairs. Move the plug to get a couple dust areas upstairs then move it back downstairs to get a few more.

B: Break out the cordless dust buster and walk around the house with a beer in the other hand cleaning.

$40 is money well spent IMO.

I originally got the CHV1510 vac. It worked well but died within 6 months, battery just won't hold a charge anymore. I called Black and Decker and they replaced it with this unit, the CHV1410L. The lithium battery was much better and there was no battery memory problems with the battery loosing capacity. For this price, it's great!
