Please help the poor mom tech fail. I know this phone will work on sprint. Its new, not activated and unlocked- as it is verizon ( yes the 9.99 one). What number UiCC micro sim do I need to get it active on Sprint? I work online retail, live in the woods and have 0 time to go to the Sprint store an hour away and pay 4x what I can get one online for. If I can get this active, it will save me about 70 bucks compared to buying the Sprint version, which is ideal, as this is for my deaf son who works outside, and is pretty rough on phonesEEK!

Verizon phones will not work on sprint.

There are a couple exceptions, a very small handful of phones are truly universal functioning on pretty much any carrier gsm or cdma (nexus 6p, iphone 6s, etc). Verizon and Sprint use different LTE bands and both have their own whitelist of phones (by serial number) that they allow on their network.

Sprint/boost moto e routinely goes on sale for $40. In rural areas, VZW usually has better coverage. For VZW on the cheap, tracfone, pageplus, and redpocket are all MVNO's that can use Verizon's network (some use different carriers / types of networks).

Pretty sure Verizon's prepaid phones require 6 months of service before they can be unlocked as well.

Also check your coverage. I know in my experience Verizon works best in most rural places, and Sprint tends to work best in more populated areas. Not having a Sprint store for an hour away might be an indicator of this too.

That may less true on LTE devices, but use on sprint is a no go.

You can always grab a a tracfone, page plus, or red pocket sim for a couple bucks and try it (before you sign up for service)...

I have same problem, and I found that this phone most likely won't work in Sprint. but I found that you can pay $5 to buy a pageplus sim card to activate in pageplus without waiting 6 months like the 3g version. the bad news is that pageplus does not allow pay as you go plan on LTE. the lowest monthly plan is $30/month.
