been watching this for a few weeks and this looks to be about $5 cheaper than normal. Also going to want to throw in some rotor guards and extra batteries.

I really want a drone.....but can't seem to find one with a decent flight time...7 minutes isn't all that long

I also need one that's good for kids...my 9 and 16 year old would LOVE one, but it may be to complex for them to fly (as well as for me LOL )

I tend to not look at the ages of specific toys, because kids are pretty smart. I purchased 2 for my 5 and 10 year old kids.

From what I have seen you'd need to spend a lot more money and get something larger to do any better flight time wise. They sell extra batteries with a charger for like $18.

Thanks OP. Got one.

For learning it's plenty. To get much more you'll need something much larger/heavier/dangerous/expensive/prone to get damaged in crashes. Instead, get a small unit and buy lots of batteries. That's what I did when I got one last year, bought a Hubsan 107L & a half dozen batteries. But you are right still, this is a little short. The problem is probably the camera, it adds extra weight. Returning to the theme, get one without camera when learning, it will be less expensive, lighter, etc etc. In other words don't get this one.

I've been looking at buying one of these lately. For those interested in a first-person-view (FPV) version, Banggood has the X5 explorer model for sale from their USA warehouse for $36.99.

How much would one of these be with live video? That's one feature in looking for if the price differential isn't that extreme.

Wow you answered my question while I was still writing .. Repped
