It's not the NS-ZCC18, $195 after coupon. It's the NS-TSC18 OP mentioned

The NS-ZCC18 (made in Japan) is $154 after coupon. Still a Slickdeal, no?

Edit: never mind that was the 5 cup

Yes, you are correct. Sorry. I have the model revised. Still a good deal, this model has a lot of good review on Amazon so I just scored one.

Just traded a friend for my over-sized 10-cup, so this is just in time. Great price for a Zojirushi!

This was same price couple days ago at Rakuten.com, tax free.
Only thing I don't like is that it was made in China.
Some reviews say that the nonstick layer gets peeled off after 6 months.

I have both Made in Japan and China. For same reason, the texture of the cooked rice is better on Made in Japan (More fluffy). The one made in China if you leave the rice more than 24 hours the rice is not that good anymore(Weird smell, taste,..) The Japanese one leave the rice Moist even after 2 days in Rice cooker.
Go with Japanese version.

How do you tell if it is made in Japan or China?

I have the 10 cup version. It works great for brown rice and cooks white rice well too. My only complaint is that it takes longer to cook both. I will often resort to my older cheaper Panasonic just get my rice cooked quicker.

Thanks. For the info. I am looking for the 5.5 cup capacity cooker. So, the NS-ZCC10 is what I will be getting.
