I'm posting from mobile. I don't think link is working. I dunno how to fix it ,but the deal is available at FRYS.COM.

This is the 1st generation (2013) model. No LTE capability so no SIM slot.

Therefore, this phone is worthless unless you plan to use it on Verizon prepaid.

Networks

CDMA Model:CDMA/EVDO Rev A (850, 1900 MHz)

Won't let me check out for in-store pickup. Guess I'll have to dive down there and roll the dice.

It CAN BE used on other CMDA networks. Also WiFi. I stream on my Chromecast also.
I don't even need a pc. Mine was better before lollipop , always had 50- 100 pages open and 14,000 !!! emails. That's right 2 accounts 6000 each , bug those are not locally stored. 1000s of songs. So yes I guess it useless.

I have a bunch of $10 CDMA phones that I use for WiFi streaming radio etc ,

I just leave them with a charger in the garage , patio etc and turn them on when needed ,

And really if you are traveling it is worth having a Verizon prepaid phone along with your At+T , tmobile so that you have Service in out of the way places

I *can't* be used on other CDMA networks (like sprint). It can't even be used on other MVNOs that use Verizon's (CDMA) 3G towers until 6 months have passed after activation. At that point it may be whitelisted for tracfone family cdma, page plus and other Verizon 3G MVNOs. This is standard for Verizon's 3G prepaid phones.

We have several threads on SD that go into further detail.
