The quality of the screen more than makes up for it. Matte is the way to go too. These have only a moderate coating which is really nice.

These were as low as $179 on eBay this year (new, not refurbished or with screen defects), and also $199 more frequently. So while I could use another one now, I'm holding out for a better price.

I've been using this monitor for almost 5 years now and it's absolutely amazing. In for a second one to replace my secondary monitor.

Promo just worked for me. Even if it says expired, I closed the popup and was able to enroll!

the dreamseller $199 on eBay has been out of stock for a while and the rest of the eBay listings are $299. I hope they come back

Panel is a AHVA panel, if I'm not mistaken, I'm no expert, it's between TN and IPS, almost as beautiful as IPS but with less lag.

What kind of warranty if any do you get with these Korean monitors or if something go wrong you just toss it in the dumper and along with your money. Some of the reviews of this Korean seller aren't very good.

great monitor, I've had one for about three years now and it's been nothing but amazing. it is a va panel which has less lag better response and almost as good color and viewing angle as an ips. I was also able to overclock my monitor to 110hz. I liked it so much I got another and was able to overclock that one to 96hz. I would say 99% can be overclocked to 96hz as long as it's the dvi only monitor.

I don't know much about monitors. I've just bought my first IPS, LG 29" from Newegg during black Friday. I haven't even tested the monitor since my current computer can't have that high of a resolution and my new computer is still being built.
From an article I've read IPS = PLS > VA > TN, in terms of color reproduction.
