Problem updating RAM to my laptop

Gavica 5,572 1,398 December 6, 2015 at 07:35 AM
Hi, I have a Dell laptop Inspiron 15 7000 series.

I bought in a stick of ram over the BF and tried putting it on either of the slots and neither worked.

This is the pictures of the memory slots and the ram I bought.

Did I buy the wrong type ?

seems yes.
DDR3L only
can you change to links instead of pictures. or maybe add product info links

edit: just looked at few newer CPUs on intel.com, seems only supports DDR3L and LPDDR3

power saving, DDR3 < DDR3L < LPDDR3

damn, forgot i still have few DDR3, less devices use it, harder to use/resell

Link to the ram you purchased? Did you use any tools to check compatibility?
