Target brick & mortar in store only.

Page 24 of this week's ad shows GCs that qualify for buy any two get a $5 Target GC: http://weeklyad.target.com/promot...06&page=24

The ad only shows a $50 Disney GC. However, many have confirmed that the deal also works for the $25 version:
  • I found $25 Disney GCs on an end cap by the register (see attached picture).
  • The $50 version in the checkout lane had a tag next to it about the deal, but the $25 version on the end cap did NOT have a tag. Nevertheless, the deal still worked for the $25 version.
  • The register by itself prompted the cashier to scan a Target GC after every two $25 Disney GCs.

The ad also shows Starbucks, AMC, and Buffalo Wild Wings:
  • On DIS Boards, someone mentioned you can get a $5 Target GC for buying two $15 Starbucks GCs.
    • MSUTigger here also saw the same tag. (Thanks!)
    • Has to be the generic ones, not holiday ones. Thanks clovergirl!
    • One used to be able to buy Starbucks GC in Starbucks store with Starbucks GC. Haven't tried this lately.
  • You can mix and match GCs. The two do not have to be of the same kind.

Disney GC FYI:

Interesting it works on $25 as the placards attached to the gift card racks say $50 explicitly.

To make it clear it is still $50 worth of gift cards, just two of the $25 gift cards.

so plan a disney trip for, say, 3k? use redcard to get all of the cards for 2,850 + $300 in target gc? seems sweet if you are already planning a trip for sure.

Would be interesting to see how one would do that considering they want all their money up front before you go for lodging. Guess you could call and find out if there was a way. Food at the park shouldn't be an issue or any incidentals while there.

You could sign up and start a Disney vacation account if you plan to go in the near future:

https://disneyvacationaccount.disney.go.com/

You can use gift cards to pay for your reservations!

Also, for every $1000, you get a $20 Disney gift card as well:

Thanks for the info. I know you can use them to pay for annual passes as my wife has done that in the past.

So, using the above math and savings, possible options:

(1)Buy $1000 worth of gift cards at Target (20 x $50), and get $100 (20 x $5) Target gift cards.
Take that $100 and you can buy 2 more $50 gift cards, get $10 in Target gift cards!
Deposit the $1000 in Disney Gift cards in a Disney Vacation Account, get $20 in gift cards!

you now have $1000 in account + $120 in Disney gift cards + $10 in Target gift cards!

(2)If you have a Target Red Card, that $1000 would save you $50 (5% of $1000), buy another $50 gift card and get another $5 in Target gift cards, so:

you now have $1000 in account + $175 Disney gift cards + $15 in Target gift cards!
