that's rediculous. can pretty much do all of it with the IR blaster in my phone. $50 and I'd consider.

No number buttons = pass. I'll stick with my Harmony One. I'm not sure how Logitech can improve over the one - it's just too good

Having owned many Harmony remotes, I'd go with the Harmony HomeControl over this.
The battery on the HomeControl lasts years and the IR blaster means you don't have to aim the remote anywhere and can hide your components in a closet if you're into the minimal look. The home automation functions are nice too. Lights down for a movie thanks to Phillip's Lux lights!

It's $107 via Prime, but if you have multiple devices (receiver, cable box, TV, etc) it's totally worth it.

Before I owned a Harmony, I had the same perspective (who in their right mind would spend $200+ on a remote). However I finally bit the bullet several years ago on a Harmony 880 and can't imagine ever going back. The real magic is in the macros you create, and in the "help" button that steps through them when something doesn't work. Gone are the days of the wife calling me at work when she can't get the bluray player to work.

While I do think $200 is a bit high ($100-$150 is slick), I definitely would recommend spending a little for a good remote for anyone with even a moderately complex HT setup.

The real magic is when you tie it in to all of your existing home automation stuff in your house with your Amazon Echo. Then you say "Alex, trigger Watch Walking Dead" and watch as you receiver comes to life, switches to the proper input as your projector powers on and switches to the correct input. You watch in amazement as your power amps turn on sequentially and then the receiver switches to Dolby Atmos. This is of course, after your lights dim appropriately and your screen descends from the ceiling....all without even touching the remote...
Some of us like nice things...EEK!

You "number button" people are dinosaurs, however, you all are very vocal in your disdain for the lack of a dedicated number pad. I am glad that that real estate guzzling 12 buttons are gone from Harmonies flagship remotes!

it is. it is their previous flagship, the new flagship is the ELITE at $350! Cue the people who can't fathom that a remote can cost $350...
